YOU
look weird in the
photo with one white
eye and one black eye.
Is your music weird
too or just your look?
When I do my music I
wear two different sets
of contacts. My music is
the new age of Hip Hop.
It’s kinda grungy, I’m into
Techno and screamer
Rock music and shit. But
I also love Hip Hop. I just
go for a look that a lotta
people can grasp onto
and they’ll remember.
Where are you from?
I was born in Anchorage,
Alaska. Then I ended
up moving to Colorado
when I was 11. Since
then I was in and out
of juvenile facilities and group
homes and all kinds of shit until
I was around 19. I got into col-
lege, dropped outta college,
then I started making music.
What kind of music were you
influenced by?
I grew up listening to everything
from Rock to White. My mom’s
White and my dad’s Black. I lived
in the ghetto and I also lived in the
suburbs. When I first started mak-
ing music the music I was listen-
ing to was like Tech N9ne, some
ICP. I also like Tupac, Dr. Dre,
Ludacris, Eminem, all that shit. I
was listening to a lot of Strange
Music, cause Tech N9ne, Krizz
Kaliko, and Kutt Calhoun were my
idols. My whole goal and plans
was to try to do as much stuff with
them, and try to jump into their
camp. Two of the hardest tracks
on my album are with Krizz Kaliko
and Kutt Calhoun.
Does Techno Music come into
your sound too?
Yeah. I’m not really into all the
Gangsta shit, cause that’s just
not me. If you’re a real gangsta
then you don’t need to talk about
it like that. If we gotta do shit,
then we gotta do shit, but I’m
more into saving the energy. I’m
trying to do something different
with music, make people move. I
want people jumpin up and down,
freakin out when they hear my
shit. I want them to feel the music
inside of them. I think Techno
and live instruments are where
it’s at. The type of Techno I listen
to is Bass Nectar, Dubstep, DJ
Samurai. It’s more underground.
